Hymns

Enter His gates with thanksgiving in your hearts
Enter His courts with praise.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving in Your hearts
For He has made me glad.

He has made me glad, He has made me glad.
Jesus has made me glad.
Enter His courts with thanksgiving in your hearts.
For He has made me glad.

Sing to the Lord and make music unto Him.
Sing to the Lord with joy.
Sing to the Lord and make music unto Him,
For He has made me glad.

Worship, bend low, while proclaiming He is God,
Praise to the Lord Most High.
Worship, bend low, while proclaiming He is God,
For He has made me glad.

Enter the house of the Lord our God.
Enter the house of the Lord.
Sing of our God, who reigns above,
Sing of his everlasting love.
Sing of his goodness all our days,
Come, be of one accord.
Lift up our voices, sing his praise,
As we enter the house of the Lord.

Enter the house of the Lord, our God.
Enter the house of the Lord,
Sing of his power and majesty,
Sing of his Son who made us free.
He magnified our human worth
And our life restored.
Sing of his kingdom here on earth,
As we enter the house of the Lord.

Every morning when the day's begun,
I thank the Lord for all He has done
Every evening I kneel to say:
Thank You, Lord for another day.

Thank You for the sun, my Lord,
Thank You for the moon.
Thank You for the days and nights,
Mornings and afternoons.

Thanks for my companions, Lord,
Who cheer me when I'm low,
Thanks for those who criticize,
Who tell me where I'm slow.

Thank You for the work we have,
The road we journey through
Even for the pain, my Lord,
We all must suffer too.

Gather your people who long to be one,
One with You, 0 Lord, in truth and love.

Lord Jesus Christ, gather us together.
Make us one bread, one body in your love.

We do proclaim You, the Saviour of all.
Lord of all the earth in sea and sky.

Forgive our failings, create us anew.
Speak your words of peace into our hearts.

Into your hands, Lord, we place all our cares,
Trusting in your name which never fails.

Within your temple your praises we sing.
Glorious is your name over all the earth.

Glory and praise to our God
Who alone gives light to our days
Many are the blessings He bears
To those who trust in His ways

We the daughters and sons of Him
Who built the valleys and plains
Praise the wonders our God has done
In every heart that sings

In His wisdom He strengthens us
Like gold that is tested in fire
Though the power of sin prevails
Our God is there to save

How I rejoiced when I heard them say -
Let's go up to God's house today
Here we are in Jerusalem:
City of the living God.

Enter His courts with songs of praise,
Enter His gates with thanks.
He is the Lord, He is our God,
Honour and bless His name.

Come let us worship and bend low
Into His presence come!
We are His sheep, marked with His seal,
Faithful His love endures.

O that today we hear Him call
O that our eyes perceive
And may His touch warm up our hearts
O that we taste and see.

How lovely is Your dwelling place, O Lord!
What peace and joy to feel so close to You!
Our heart and soul ring out their joy this morning / evening,
We long to meet You, God, the living God.

The sparrow even here has found a shelter,
The shallow by Your altars builds a nest.
O happy those whose dwelling is Your temple,
Who day by day Your praises sing, O Lord.

One day within Your courts indeed is better
Than thousand days elsewhere afar from You.
To wait upon the threshold of Your temple
Is better than to waste our life in vain.

O Lord, You are our strength and our protection.
Your favour and Your glory, grant us now.
Refuse not any good to those who love You,
The people that is Yours for evermore.

I fall on my knees to the father of Jesus
The Lord who has shown us the Glory of God

May Christ find a dwelling place of faith in our hearts
May our life be rooted in Love, rooted in Love

May He in His love give us strength for our living
The strength of His Spirit ; the Glory of God

May grace and peace be in God
Our Father and in His Son

I fall on my knees to the father of Jesus
The Lord who has shown us the Glory of God

I rejoiced when I heard the people saying,
Lets go to the temple of the Lord,
And now at last our feet are standing,
Within your gates, O Jerusalem.

Jerusalem, O fairest City,
So strongly built as one united whole,
It is there that the tribes now gather
All the tribes to worship the Lord. Chorus

For the peace of  Jerusalem, pray,
Prosperity to all your dwelling places,
Let there be peace everywhere within your ramparts,
Let there be safety within your towers.
Chorus

For love of my people and my friends,
This is my prayer: may lasting peace be yours,
For the sake of the house of the Lord,
I shall plead and pray for your good.
Chorus

I want to sing, I want to shout your praise, O Lord,
Awake and sing my soul!
Awake and play my harp and zither!
Let the dawning day join in praise!

Yes, my heart is ready now to praise you, O Lord,
To bless and thank you, God of my salvation, alleluia!

Great indeed and wonderful your glory, my God,
Your holy name is higher than the heavens, alleluia!

Lord, your mercy overshadows all the earth,
Your glory lights the firmament on high, alleluia!

I will play before the Lord,
I will sing to Him my melody,
Stand among His people here,
Telling of all His ways

Let us sing before the Lord;
Let us sing to Him our melody,
Stand within His temple here,
Telling of all His ways.

Sing, people of God, bless his holy name.
Offering him our joyful hearts,
Joining in endless praise. Alleluia, alleluia
Alleluia, alleluia Joining in endless praise.

I'll turn my steps to the altar of God,
I'll turn my steps to the gladness of my life.

Show Your justice in pleading my cause,
Let me walk in the way of Your love.

Lead me on with Your power and strength
And my courage will never be spent.

Fill my heart with Your truth and Your light
As I enter with joy in Your sight.

Holy praises to God I will sing.
I will trust and will hope in my King.

Glory be to the Father and Son
And the Spirit while ages are run.

In the Lord, is my hope,
In the Lord, is my help.
He’s my shield and my strength.
He’s my fortress: I stand firm.

I’ve no fear of the night and its shadow,
I’ve no fear of the plague that prowls around,
For Your light shines, O Lord, in the darkness,
And Your brightness, leads me on.

I’ve no fear if alone I’ll be walking,
I’ve no fear if the journey is so long,
For it’s You, Lord, the way to the Father,
On Your path, I am safe.

I’ve no fear of the death that surrounds me,
I’ve no fear in a world of woes and ills,
For I know, Lord, You grant life eternal
If I only hope in You.

I’ve no fear if assailed by disaster,
I’ve no fear in the midst of pain and gloom,
For You are, Lord, my joy my salvation.
Alleluia! Praise the Lord!

Into Thy Presence I come (x2)
Not by the works I have done
But by the grace I have done
I come and bow before your throne

Singing Jesus, Jesus is the Lamb
Jesus is the Lamb that was slain (x2)

Singing holy, holy is the Lamb
Holy is the Lamb that was slain (x2)

Singing glory, glory is the Lamb
Glory is the Lamb that was slain (x2)

Joy was in my heart, alleluia, when I heard them say:
Let us go to God’s house (x2)

And now my feet are standing, alleluia
Within your gates, O Jerusalem.

Jerusalem, most beautiful city, so strongly compact,
Alleluia, on you converge all the tribes of the Lord.

May his peace reign in your walls,
Happiness and love in all your homes,
Alleluia, for you are the house of the Lord our God.

Joy was in my heart when I heard the people say:
"Let us go up to the temple of the Lord".
And now we are at last in the presence of the Lord,
Alleluia, alleluia!

The temple of the Lord will never be destroyed.
How beautiful and strong it stands!
It is here that all will come to praise and worship God,
Singing songs that fill the heart with joy!

May blessings come upon the dwelling of the Lord!
To those who love her blessings too.
May peace and safety stay within her mighty walls;
We revere you, sacred House of God!

Just like a child who trusts his father dear
And who delights to feel his presence near
Just like a child whose mind has not a doubt
And whose heart is never proud.

Here I come, oh lord
Here I come just like a child. (2)

Just like a child, so weak he cannot stand
But who holds firm and tight his mother's hand
Just like a child, who sings in bright daylight
Fearing not the long dark night.

Just like a child that guilty deeds oppress
With mind and heart in trouble and distress
Just like a child who throws himself into his mother's arms
Sure that she'll free him from his qualms.

Lead your children Jesus to the altar,
Lead your children, Jesus here we come.

Our hearts are filled with love,
Our lips are filled with songs, lead your children here we come. Chorus.

We know you love us all,
We know you love us friends, lead your children here we come. Chorus.

We come to learn from you,
We come to live by you, lead your children here we come. Chorus.
Let all mortal flesh keep silence,
And with fear and trembling stand;
Ponder nothing earthly-minded,
For with blessing in His hand,
Christ our God to earth descendeth,
Our full homage to demand.

King of kings, yet born of Mary,
As of old on earth He stood,
Lord of lords, in human vesture,
In the body and the blood;
He will give to all the faithful
His own self for heav’nly food.

Rank on rank the host of heaven
Spreads its vanguard on the way,
As the Light of light descendeth
From the realms of endless day,
That the pow’rs of hell may vanish
As the darkness clears away.

At His feet the six-winged seraph,
Cherubim with sleepless eye,
Veil their faces to the presence,
As with ceaseless voice they cry:
“Alleluia, Alleluia,
Alleluia, Lord Most High!”

Let's go up to God's holy hill
That he may teach us all his ways.
To the house of Jacob's God
That we may trust him all our days.

Everyone beneath the vine and fig tree
Shall live in peace and have no fear.
Everyone beneath the vine and fig tree
Shall live without a fear.

They shall beat their weapons into ploughshares
And turn their spears to pruning hooks.
They shall beat their weapons into ploughshares
Their spears to pruning hooks.

None shall lift their swords against their neighbours
And nations learn of war no more.
None shall lift their swords against their neighbours
And nations war no more.

Out of Zion shall go forth the law
And God's word go from Jerusalem.
He shall judge between the many peoples,
For thus the Lord decreed!

Listen, listen, listen every one
God is here for you and He is here for me.
Listen, listen, listen, can't you hear?
His love is here to stay. His word is ever new.

Listen to the well-spring of deepest love and joy
That comes from here within my soul,
Listen, can't you hear?
Listen, listen, listen every one,
God is here for you and He is here for me.

Peace, be still, be silent and
You'll hear the whispered roar.
And if you cannot hear, I will tell you once more:
Listen, listen, listen every one, God is here for you and He is here for me.

Listen, 0 my people,
All you children of the world
Listen to our God as He whispers in your ear.
Listen, listen, listen every one,
God is here for you and He is here for me.

Make melody, melody, melody unto the Lord.
Make melody, melody unto the Lord.
Sing him a song with all your heart.
Sing him a song with all your heart.

Sing him a song with all your heart. (x2)
Always give thanks in Jesus' name. (x2)
Make known his deeds, tell of his works. (x2)
Let all the earth call on his name. (x2)
Ring out your joy, lift up your hearts. (x2)

Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing
Praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the world

Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dew fall on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight
Mine is the morning
Born of the one light Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day

O God, my God, for you my soul is thirsting.

O God, you are my God, for you I long,
For you my soul is thirsting.

Like a dry weary land without water,
My body pines for you, O Lord.

So I gaze on you in the sanctuary
To see your strength and your glory.

For your love is better than life itself,
My lips will loudly speak your praise.

O, how good, how wonderful it is
When brothers and sisters live as one.(x2)

It is as fragrant as pure oil,
The ointment of the Lord,
Flowing down as on Aaron of old,
Anointing every one.

It is as refreshing as the dew
Upon the mountain of the Lord,
For there the favour of the Lord remains,
The blessing of everlasting life.
